Introduction
Welcome to Professor Melkote’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Group. Our primary location is at the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute (GTMI), with additional operations at the Advanced Manufacturing Pilot Facility (AMPF). Our research spans a wide range of areas, including hybrid manufacturing, surface post-processing of Additively Manufactured (AM) Parts, cyber manufacturing, robotic machining, and numerous other projects within the manufacturing field. We maintain active collaborations with industry leaders such as Novelis and Boeing. Our team consists of both students and postdoctoral researchers who work together collaboratively to push the boundaries of research in the domain of manufacturing.
